DUPR 16 Round 3 - The Veterans Venue Friday Night

Expanding the venue to the east side of Jacksonville, MLP ran a Friday night bash on the brand new courts at Veterans Memorial Park. The all black clad Fantastic 4 was a team formed in St Augustine Beach, but then combined with a team from the previous event while the co-Captains were out of town. WHAT?! Yes, pickleball makes and breaks partnerships. The final round pitted these 4 new partners against the World Golf Village A Team in a battle of the unbeaten. F4 took the first win with a victory in Womens doubles, while WGV A Team took the victory in mens doubles 19-17, the longest game to date in MLP play. The Mixed doubles pairs looked even on paper, but F4 took both games to win convincingly and punch their ticket to the Finals.
